Terms of Use
These are the terms of the agreement between you and us when you use AC Bridge. We have tried to write them in plain English. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.
The short version You bring the agents you already run — Claude Code and Codex. You get 3 days free, then your card is charged and the subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time in one click and keep access until the period you paid for runs out. Anything an agent triggers runs on your computer, with your privileges — that is the point of the product, and it is your responsibility. We record your sessions by default; the Privacy Policy explains that and how to turn it off.
Who we are
AC Bridge is operated by Sam Holmes, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading as AC Bridge (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at [email protected]. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
What the Service does
AC Bridge turns the smart devices around you into ambient status lights for Claude Code and Codex sessions running on your own computer, and lets those agents control the devices you allow. Everything runs on your machine, under your control. AC Bridge works with Claude Code and Codex but is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic or OpenAI.
You bring your own agents
AC Bridge does not provide Claude, Claude Code, Codex, or any coding agent, and does not resell access to them. You bring your own agents — for example a Claude Pro or Max plan with Claude Code, or your own Codex setup — and your use of each is governed by your agreement with its provider. AC Bridge reads the state of a session you already run and drives the devices you allow. If a provider changes or withdraws your access, that part of the Service will not work — and that is outside our control.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16, or the minimum age in your country if that is higher, and able to enter a contract. You need at least one supported agent (such as Claude Code or Codex), a computer you are entitled to run the software on, and any smart devices you want to control.
The trial, what you pay, and automatic renewal
The Service is offered on a single paid plan, AC Bridge Pro, after a 3-day free trial. There is no permanently free tier.
| Region | Monthly | Annual |
|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | £5.99 / month | £59.90 / year (about £4.99 / month) |
| United States | $7.99 / month | $79.90 / year (about $6.66 / month) |
You choose your region and billing period at checkout, and your region is fixed to the currency you paid in. Prices are the amounts shown at checkout at the time you subscribe.
The things worth being explicit about:
- We take your card before the trial starts, but we do not charge it during the trial.
- When the 3 days end, your card is charged automatically and your subscription begins.
- It renews automatically — every month or every year, matching what you chose — and keeps renewing at the then-current price until you cancel. We will always tell you before a price change and you can cancel rather than accept it.
- Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time, for any reason, from your account — it takes you to Stripe’s billing portal to confirm. There is no cancellation fee and nobody will ask you to explain yourself.
Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not refund the period you are already in: your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and then stops. If you cancel during the trial, access ends when the trial does.
Your right to change your mind
As a consumer you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance contract for digital services and get your money back. Because the Service is made available to you immediately, at checkout you ask us to start straight away and acknowledge that you therefore lose that 14-day right once we have. The 3-day free trial exists so you can decide before paying anything.
This does not affect your rights if something is actually wrong. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the Service must be as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for purpose — and if it is not, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement, or a refund. Ask us at [email protected] and we will sort it out.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for whatever your agents trigger through the Service. It runs on your computer, with your privileges.
- Keep approval prompts on for anything sensitive, and do not disable permission checks on a session or device the Service can reach. Scope device control to what you are comfortable an agent changing on your behalf.
- You must be entitled to operate any system you reach through the Service.
- Keep your account credentials to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using your account.
- One free trial per person. Do not create extra accounts to get more.
What you must not do
- Break the law, or help anyone else do so.
- Use the Service to reach systems you have no right to touch.
- Attack, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service, or work around its limits.
- Resell or rent access to the Service.
The content you feed the Service
You keep ownership of everything that passes through your sessions. You give us only the permission we need to operate the Service for you and to store the recordings described in the Privacy Policy — nothing more, and nothing that outlives your data under that policy.
You confirm you are entitled to put into a session whatever you put into it, including anyone
else’s personal data or confidential material. If you are not free to share something with
us, keep it out: use .acbridge-no-capture, set BRIDGE_NO_CAPTURE=1, or
run acbridge capture off. Our secret-scrubbing is a safety net, not a guarantee, and
it is not a substitute for your own judgement.
Your data
How we handle your data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: we record your sessions by default on every plan, you can turn that off per machine at any time with no penalty, and we do not sell your data.
Availability
We will try to keep the Service running and to give you reasonable notice of planned downtime, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It depends on services we do not control — Anthropic, OpenAI, your smart-home providers, and your own network and hardware among them. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the Service or materially reduce what you are paying for, we will tell you and refund the unused part of anything you have paid in advance.
Our responsibility to you
Some things cannot be limited, and we do not try to: we are always liable for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for anything else the law does not let us exclude — including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Beyond that: we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, nor for what you or your agents choose to run on your own machine, nor for what Claude or Codex does with a prompt. Where the law allows us to cap our liability, it is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose. The Service is for personal and professional use, not for anything safety-critical; we are not liable for business losses.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service, disconnect your devices, and close your account whenever you like.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if your payment fails and stays unpaid. Except where you have done something seriously wrong, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of what you have paid.
Trademarks
“Claude” and “Claude Code” are trademarks of Anthropic; “Codex” is a trademark of OpenAI. We use them only to describe what the Service works with. Their owners do not sponsor or endorse the Service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand, and you can cancel before it takes effect if you would rather not accept it. Changes we have to make for legal or security reasons may take effect sooner.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EEA, you keep the protection of your own country’s consumer law and can bring proceedings there.
If something goes wrong, please email us first — almost everything is fixable that way.
Odds and ends
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to. You may not transfer this agreement; we may transfer it if we sell the business, and it will not reduce your rights.
